Drum Filling System

This system is designed to fill one to four drums, placed on four separate floor scales, with material. Filling can be done sequentially or all-at-once, using a single speed filling mechanism with no lance.

Before the filling process begins, the operator must choose the filling mode and enter the necessary system values.

This is accomplished by pressing the SETUP key on the Weigh-Tronix WI-130 or 1310. The operator chooses the drum filling mode - sequential or all-at-once.

Next, the system prompts for entry of the threshold amount. Threshold represents the amount of weight that must be on the scale before filling a drum can begin.

The End Wait Time is entered next. This wait time is the number of seconds the system will pause, after the filling device has been turned off, before capturing the net weight. This helps the indicator capture a stable weight.

The system then prompts for target amounts for each drum. If a particular scale will not be used, a value of zero(0) is entered for the target amount. All system values entered remain active until changed.

To begin filling drums, the START key is pressed. Each scale is tared, the system recalls the target amounts, and filling begins. Once the targets are reached, the system turns off the flow of material, and captures the net weight.

A summary is then displayed on the screen, showing the target amount and actual amount for each scale.

The Drum Filling System also includes an emergency stop key function.
