Rate of Flow Monitor System

The Rate of Flow Monitor System, using a Weigh-Tronix WI-130 or 1310, is designed to monitor and display the rate of flow of paint and the amount of paint used, during an automobile painting.

Hardware accessories used with the system include two printers, a multi-port controller, and two remote displays.

Three different display modes can be chosen for the indicator. Choices include: (1) showing the total amount of paint used, the target amount, and the current rate of flow, (2) weight only, and (3) vehicle ID, painter ID, target gallons, pounds per gallon, and scale number.

The remote display will show either (1) rate, total, and targets, (2) flow rate and gallons, or (3) target gallons and total gallons.

The rate of flow can be displayed in either "rate of flow per minute" or "rate of flow per hour".

To start the process, an operator presses the START key, and enters the required job information. The system then prompts for a "yes" or "no" to start the flow monitor. If yes is chosen, the system will monitor the painting process, and display the flow rate and consumption data.

When the painting process is complete, data, such as average flow rate and total paint used, can be printed.
