Inventory Tracking System

 

Working in conjunction with the Weigh-Tronix Solution Series of weighing instruments, The ITRAX Inventory Tracking System provides scale based shipping, receiving and cycle counting  functionality.

 The ITRAX System consists of two software components. The first program resides in the scale instrument on the factory floor and allows for counting and weighing of products. The second program resides in a remote PC and monitors the operations and collects data from the scale or scales. The PC program then provides complete record keeping and reporting for management control of the filling process.

 The ITRAX System will accommodate multiple scale stations allowing the shipping, picking or receiving process to be separated. Transactions for all active stations and lines are constantly monitored and recorded at the remote, PC location.  The PC operator can watch the results of each counting operation and monitor inventory levels being adjusted real-time.

 When a part is being weighed, the scale operator inputs a part number into the scale.   The part number is then transmitted to the PC application.  The PC application looks up the part number in the part database and transmits all relative information about the part back to the scale.  Included in the information sent to the scale is the UPC Code, average piece weight, and the default container tare weight of the part.  When the scale receives the part information, the piece weight is used to determine the number of parts on the scale and a bar-code label is printed and the completed weighment data is transmitted back to the PC application.

The ITRAX system is a 32 bit computer-based software data management system designed to track products  into and out of inventory using a Weigh-Tronix WI-130.  The standard system is designed to provide shipping, receiving and cycle counting functionality.
